How is this toolkit organized?

The toolkit is organized into five major sections.

  1. Introduction and Overview
  2. Model Program for Workforce Resilience
  3. Workforce Resilience Resources, which has four sub-sections:

  5. References

How do I access the resources on this CD-ROM and elsewhere?

When you insert the CD-ROM, you are automatically brought to the main menu. Click on a section to access the content. Much of the file content on this CD is stored in the Adobe Portable Document (PDF) format.  Additionally, there are numerous live Internet links that, when clicked, will automatically open in the browser window to the relevant websites. Click the Back button on your browser to return to the previous page.

How do I open a file?

To open a file on this CD, just click on its link.

How do I save a file to my computer?

Click on the title to open it;

  1. Select "Save a Copy" in the File menu on the upper left side of your screen;
  2. Type a file name;
  3. Select a location on your computer where you wish to save it;
  4. Click OK.

Alternatively, if you want to save something without opening the file, you can right click on the hyperlink and select "Save Target As..." following the steps above.

How do I view a PDF file?

If you already have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, the program will launch as soon as you click on the file name. However, if you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, you will need to download and install it on your computer. Go to the Adobe website to download the free Acrobat Reader.

What does the globe mean?
